Open plan living
The original layout had walled the light off with built-in cupboards along both side walls, a closed kitchen, and a bathroom so small the shower sat above the toilet. We rearranged the plan around where the light comes in. Open kitchen and living room at the front. Two bedrooms at the rear, facing the quiet courtyard. Connected by a sliding door that tucks into the bathroom wall to save space. Open both doors and light travels the full length of the apartment.
Jantien helped us settle into life in Amsterdam by creating a functional, bright and warm space to call home. Her creative use of space and light gave us a beautifully designed apartment to work, entertain and recharge in. We love her use of plants to bring nature into the space.
