Garden house Huizen

The back half of this 240m² garden house received almost no daylight. A dividing wall cut the plan in two, leaving the kitchen and dining room in permanent shadow. We removed it. Light now travels uninterrupted from the garden through the full depth of the house, throwing light on a hand-painted botanical mural by a graffiti artist that spans the full length of the walls. The same thread continues upstairs: pebble stone, warm tile, and a freestanding bath in a bathroom designed around the same logic of natural materials and light.
